The Vertical Lift Research Center of Excellence has continued to work with the Office of Naval Research to develop advanced control and estimation systems for autonomous ship landing.
This research evaluates the sensitivity of landing algorithms to aircraft response characteristics, offers comparisons between different path planners, and provides a vision-based ship deck state estimation.
